Training focus for the week
Focus for this week is curriculum. Friday weapons training is Jo and Saturday weapons training is Bokken. Testing starts on Monday 28th and ends on Sat 2nd April. This gives us two weeks of curriculum practice to prepare. Black Belts and 1st Kyu aside, everyone should be ready to test in March. Make sure you take ant catch up classes and get the tags you need to test.
A big thanks to everyone who supported the memorial training day. Also thanks to those who couldn’t attend but made a donation anyway. Aside from raising just over £450 for Soke Stratton’s family, it was great to see people from all over the country on the same mat training together.
Red Nose Day
For the Juniors and Dragons, for every guest you bring along with an invite, the dojo will donate £5.00 to red nose day. Make sure you pick up all your invites from reception.
Next outdoor self-Defence class is scheduled for Friday 25th March. Meet at the dojo at 6.30, move to the training area, lesson ends 8.00 then social at the Chestnut.
Black Belt Testing
Sat 26th March starts at 1.15 with the little Dragons followed by Juniors and Cadets then Adults on last. Please support this event.
We are running a beginners course over three Thursdays starting on 31st March at 6.30pm for one hour, the second lesson is on 7th April and the final lesson on the 14th April. The cost is £15.00 per head which will include the provision of a training uniform. There is no obligation to enrole at the school after the three lessons. So if you have friends or family out there who have shown an interest but are just not sure, this would be a perfect opportunity for them to try us out.
