Mat Chact for Jun

Junior New Curriculum

Just a reminder that we roll out the new curriculum for Juniors and Cadets on Tuesday 31st May. Each week we will be teaching a different module. We start with module 4 of which we have shown the related basic technique below. Module 4 also has a self defence focus and a fitness focus. We will be doing a lot more in class than just Module 4 but as far as testing goes the module content will be our focus.
Module 4

Junior and Cadet promotion requirements

The new system consists of 6 separate modules; each module has three tiers of expertise based on the student’s current rank. Thus module
1, module 2 etc. Will be sub-divided into module1; tier 1, module 1; tier 2 and so on.
  • Tier one of a module is considered ‘Basic’ for a Junior, Cadets will not be tested on tier one.
  • Tier two of a module is considered ‘Advanced’ for Juniors and ‘Basic’ for Cadets.
